Title or Not to Title–That is the question

Strange search results in Office 365

The first line in the file was my title … not the name of the file … but what is title in your organization?  Is title the filename or a special title column.  No problem since search was engineered to solve this issue.

By design … you can change in your search scheme by modifying the title managed property

Just move your “title” up.

Do you have the same issue with author?  No problem since author handled like title, so you can just move it on up.

Works for new document … but old documents are not effected until full crawl.  Note that the crawl schedule will effect your results
